ESG Professional Stump Grinding are always able to carry out all work related to removing your stump safely and efficiently, but there are a number of things that a customer can do themselves if they would like to reduce the cost of removing their stumps.
- Clear the ground out to 1 metre around the stump (remove all rocks, objects, star pickets, etc)
- Make sure there is a clear pathway from where the service vehicle will park to where the stump is located. This may include removing fence panels, clearing vehicles from driveways, picking up toys or furniture, etc.
- Make sure you are home to receive the service team or make arrangements for them to be able to enter the property (Time = Money – don’t leave the crew waiting in their vehicles for access to the job)
- Dispose of excess grindings and/or cuttings yourself (this can be a sizeable savings when time, transport and dumping fees are added up).
- Get more than one stump ground – While it may cost $150 to get one medium softwood stump ground, it may only cost $200 to have three stumps ground. This is due to the fixed costs of a job (e.g. transport) being only charged once, NOT for every stump.
There may be other savings you can make that are specific to your job. You are welcome to ask our staff if there are things you can do to save money.
NOTE: For us to maintain a safe working environment for both you and our staff, you will not be allowed to help while we are working at your property. Any work you do must be carried out before or after we have completed the work you have employed us to carry out.
